
William Hague
Non-Executive Director
William joined AMT-SYBEX as a Non-Executive Director in 2004 and quickly made significant contributions to the company’s events calendar, providing key insights into industry matters.
Before entering Parliament, William worked for Shell UK and McKinsey & Co.
He has been the MP for Richmond, Yorkshire since 1989.
Whilst in Government, William was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon Norman Lamont MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1990-93; Joint Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the DSS from 1993-94; and Minister of State, DSS (with responsibility for Social Security and Disabled People) from 1994-95. He joined the Cabinet in 1995 as Secretary of State for Wales.
He served as Leader of the Conservative Party from 1997 to 2001.
William was educated at Wath-on-Dearne Comprehensive School in Rotherham, Magdalen College, Oxford and INSEAD Business School, France. Whilst at Oxford, he was president of the Union and of the University Conservative Association.

Andy Hamlyn
Group Director
Andy joined the company in 1992 and is responsible for the company’s Mobile Working and Information Management Business Unit. He is also Chief Executive of AMT-SYBEX's wholly owned Supply Chain Management subsidiary, Marrakech.
Since joining the company, Andy has filled a variety of roles including; Consultant, Account Manager and Pre-Sales Manager. In 1999, Andy joined the UK Board and fulfilled roles of Strategy Director, Operations Director and Sales & Marketing Director. He joined the Group Board in 2004.
Andy had an early graduate career with Sainsbury’s, gaining experience in Head Office, Depot & Retail Management functions. Andy holds a BA (Hons) Business Studies, a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma, an Institute of Directors (IOD) Diploma in Company Direction and IOD Chartered Director status.
Gerry McKeown
Non-Executive Director
Gerry joined the Board of AMT-SYBEX in early 2000 and is a Non-Executive Director.
A long term IT Professional, Gerry commenced his career with Ontario Hydro in Toronto in 1967. He returned to Ireland in 1971 and, shortly thereafter, set up his own software development & consultancy company – McKeown Software.
McKeown Software went on to become a medium sized software company providing financial application packages and solutions and eventually employing 200 people. The Company’s markets were mainly in NHS, Local Government, and Government. Agencies. Gerry disposed of his interest in McKeown Software in 1999, shortly before joining AMT-SYBEX.
Pearse Mee
Group Deputy Chairman
Pearse co-founded AMT-SYBEX in February 1990 and as Group Managing Director had overall responsibility for the company’s activities until February 2003. In February 2003 he became Group Deputy Chairman.
Prior to joining AMT-SYBEX Pearse was the founder and joint Managing Director of a publicly quoted computer services company and prior to that held a number of senior positions with Honeywell Information Systems Limited.
He was educated at St. Ignatius College Galway, Mungret College Limerick and University College Galway. His interests include horse breeding, football and tennis.
Andy Miller
Group Managing Director
Andy joined the company in 1991 and as Group Managing Director has overall responsibility for company activity.
During his time with AMT-SYBEX Andy has worked exclusively within the customer facing side of operations. Following initial success within the sales team, Andy has experienced a variety of other roles including Account Manager and Sales Manager.
Andy was appointed as Group Director in March 2000 and became Group Managing Director in February 2003.
He also has experience as a teacher and experience within the construction industry. In March 2002 Andy became a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors.
Brian Miller
Strategy Director
Brian helped to form AMT-SYBEX in 1990 and as Strategy Director is responsible for the overall direction of the company.
As co-founder Brian initially held the role of Sales Director followed by Managing Director. In the late nineties Brian enjoyed the role of Deputy Chairman and then advanced to employ his wide range of management, marketing and sales skills in the area of Sales and Strategy Development. Brian was also formerly the Non-Executive Chairman of Mincom (APAC) Pty Ltd.
A former University Lecturer and Sport Psychologist, Brian has B.Ed (Hons.) and M.A. degrees. He has also published two books.
Steven Norris
Chairman
Steve was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of AMT-SYBEX Group Ltd in June 2005.
Steve is the founder and Chairman of Park Place Communications; he is also the Chairman of Jarvis PLC and over the last few years has built up a portfolio of non-executive directorships.
Steve is President of the telematics forum ITS.UK and a recognised authority on transport and infrastructure issues.
A member of parliament for 14 years, Steve represented the constituencies of Oxford East and Epping and was a Minister of Transport from 1992-1996. He was also candidate for Mayor of London in 2000 and 2004.
Steve was educated at the Liverpool Institute and Worcester College, Oxford where he was President of the University Law Society.
Paul Reynolds
Group Finance Director
Paul joined AMT-SYBEX in 1990 as Financial Controller and was appointed Group Finance Director in 1991. He retains overall responsibility for the group finance function, including the financial aspects of planning, strategy and investments.
Prior to joining AMT-SYBEX Paul ran an accountancy practice for five years.
He is a B. Comm. Graduate of University College Dublin and a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
