The solution was originally developed in conjunction with a number of UK market participants including Northern Electric and Gas, TXU Energy and Centrica.  Customers now include Centrica, EDF Energy, RWE npower and Bord Gais Éireann. The product includes support for industry agreed Electricity and Gas market interfaces and also provides support for bi-lateral interfaces which may operate between participants.

DTS provides any Market Participant with an industry interaction solution that can readily integrate with their core business systems and business process platforms while providing full validation, flow management rules, routing capability, flow searching/visibility, flow creation and exceptions management capability ‘out of the box’

DTS is based on a design specifically tailored for the addition of new catalogues and which readily facilitates changes to existing catalogues. This means that the solution can accommodate changes in market messaging requirements more easily at any stage of the product implementation cycle.

Our experience and knowledge of market messaging systems in UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Nordics etc. has shown that many IT problems arise from the changes that take place in de-regulated energy markets (including new catalogues needed to support new market structures). Our meta-data based approach is proven to give flexibility to accommodate change and market leading scalability and performance.

DTS addresses a number of operational problems relating to industry interaction, providing:-

• Improved visibility and control of market messaging and data flow transfers between internal systems and market participants
• The ability to manage large variety of message formats that are subject to frequent format changes

DTS - SAP Certification and Partnership

SAP and AMT-SYBEX have formed a strong working relationship over the past five years due to the complimentary nature of their products and have worked together on joint proposals to clients who are using both SAP IS-U and AMT-SYBEX DTS / Integration Services.

As a result of growing customer interest and the demand for a UK compliant SAP IS-U solution, AMT-SYBEX and SAP signed a contract for the development of DTS within the NetWeaver environment as well as becoming the Industry Interaction and Dataflow Management module for SAP IS-U in the UK. 

This product re-development has been completed and DTS has been certified as a “Powered by NetWeaver ®” product. DTS for IS-U is now available to Utility companies across Europe.

Using DTS for IS-U provides the benefit of a product solution that will be more easily ported to future SAP developments and reduces risk and cost of implementation and subsequent maintenance costs in terms of keeping the solution in line with industry changes.

The provision of DTS for IS-U as a product solution will assist a customer to manage their costs and risks and will mean that the components will not be throw away when undertaking upgrades to future versions of SAP IS-U hence reduce total cost of ownership.

A product solution for market communication that is used by multiple parties will provide a reduced total cost of ownership due to the shared maintenance burden of ensuring the solution remains compliant with the industry and future SAP platforms.
