Developers/Senior Developers

This role will involve helping develop key aspects of our Affinity™ product suite – working on low latency, high volume applications for “smart” utilities.

We continually invest in our product suite to ensure that it remains optimised to cope with the recording and processing of time series data received from tens of millions of data points and is capable of throughputs exceeding 10,000 transactions per second. In the development team you will have a key role in this high performance application suite.

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Design and development of high performance code in Java and C99 in a multi-core environment
  • High performance SQL and RDBMS design (Oracle 10/11g and or IBM Informix)
  • Enterprise Java (JAX-WS, JDBC, EJB3, JMS)
  • C99 in a Unix environment
  • Experience of IBM WebSphere Application Server and/or SAP NetWeaver Web AS
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience of processing techniques related to time-series data

Applicants must have the following capabilities:

  • Experience in IT related projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Be highly motivated and enjoy the challenge of working within a team
