AMT-SYBEX launches new pricing model to support the operations of the ‘challenger’ energy retailers

AMT-SYBEX, part of Capita, has announced the launch of the new software-as-a-service pricing model for its energy market management solution, Marketflow.

For the first time, the newer and innovative energy retailers known as challenger brands will be able to subscribe to Marketflow to process and validate energy market data on a monthly basis.

The challenger energy retailers are focused on offering differentiated solutions to customers but still need to follow operational processes in a highly complex and regulated market. Marketflow will support these retailers by giving them a complete view of market data so they will be able to match supply and demand, identify erroneous transfers, spot missing data flows and ease billing issues by integration with different systems.

Marketflow’s new pricing model will help level the playing field between these challenger retailers and the ‘big six’ energy suppliers (SSE, EDF Energy, British Gas, npower, E.ON UK and ScottishPower).

The solution will be upgraded at no additional cost, whenever there is a new regulatory change enforced by Ofgem. Marketflow currently has the built-in capability to meet the new ‘Faster and More Reliable Switching’ programme that comes into effect in 2021.

The ‘pay as you grow’ model allows each retailer to only pay for what they need for their customer base. As their business grows, the charge of the software will increase to reflect this.

Marketflow enables challenger energy retailers to communicate effectively with the market, which will help reduce avoidable market charges and increase customer satisfaction. The new pricing model supports Ofgem’s proposed reforms to decrease the risk of supplier failure and strengthen the safety net for consumers.
